What to Wear...to a Summer Wedding

What to Wear...to a Summer Wedding

Everyone loves a summer wedding, but it can be tricky to plan an outfit; you want to look sophisticated but seasonal and it can be difficult, especially when you factor in unpredictable weather!

For me, floral is a classic summer wedding choice.  This Oasis one is beautiful and looks appropriately dressy for a wedding, but not so dressy that it will be worn once and hang in your wardarobe for ever and a day.  Whatever dress you decide to go for, the most important consideration is do not upstage the bride! To avoid the ultimate wedding faux pas, don't buy anything white or attention grabbing (very bright, very short or very wacky!)

I have chosen a light jacket and clutch which pick up on colours from the dress.  This is more summery than brown accessories, but keeps to the same pallate, making your look more sophisticated.  Fondant shades always seems wedding appropriate and, luckily, are big news this summer.

An important consideration when choosing your shoes is that it is highly possible you will have on walk or pose for photos on, grass.  So if you're going for heel, wedges or chunky heels are a sensible option.  The last thing you want is to get stuck in the lawn!  This nude pair of wedges looks classy and versatile.

All you have to do to complete you look is add some elegant jewellery and you are all set to shine at any summer wedding!
